Despite having a guy who is literally named Drax the Destroyer in the group, Rocket is by far the most pessimistic and grumpy member of the group, preferring to stick his head into his inventions rather than interact with other people.
When we first meet Rocket in the first Guardians of the Galaxyfilm, he's a selfish bounty hunter who only cares about making money, though he does have a soft spot for his partner in crime Groot. However, while they're all grateful to be alive and back together, several members decide it's time for them to leave the team for a bit and pursue their goals and aspirations.
